Dr. Shaw completed a 5-year residency in general surgery after which he received board certification by the American Board of Surgery. Dr. Shaw subsequently completed an additional residency in plastic surgery at the Phoenix Integrated Plastic Surgery Residency after which he became board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, the only board recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties to provide certification in this specialty. Overall, Dr. Shaw completed seven years of surgical training and is a double-boarded Plastic Surgeon. He is a member of a number of different national and local medical societies including the The American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS).
